Brett Baty’s parents are Clint and Leslie. By trade, Clint is a basketball coach who currently instructs at Lake Travis High School in Texas the same high school where Brett excelled in baseball. Meanwhile, Brett’s mother Leslie was appointed as the elementary school’s principal.
Although Clint’s son is excellent at basketball and has a high IQ, baseball is his real passion. Unfortunately, Brett’s parents mistakenly thought he would be eligible for the draft as a sophomore when he was actually 19 years old and in senior year of high school.
When he was in elementary school, he had been one of the youngest students in his class. So when Clint and Leslie got to fifth grade, they decided to hold him back an additional year. They didn’t know at the time that this would become a topic of conversation but are happy with how everything turned out nonetheless.
