Who is Paddy McGuinness’ wife Christine McGuinness: How many children do they have

The former Miss Liverpool is set to bare it all for charity on ITV’s Strictly The Real Full Monty, where she’ll be joined by Paddy McGuinness. But what else has she accomplished, and how did she meet her television presenter spouse, Paddy McGuinness?

Who is Christine McGuinness?

Christine Martin was born in 1988 in Merseyside. She won the Miss Commonwealth title at the age of 18 and became Miss Liverpool in 2007, taking on the world of beauty pageants.

She later paraded her figure in a bikini while representing Liverpool at the Liverpool Tennis Tournament. It was during that event that she met TV funny-man and Phoenix Nights star Paddy, 48, and the two have been together ever since.

Christine is a freelance model and television personality who has appeared on seasons of The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Christine returned to ITV in December 2021 to take part in Strictly The Real Monty, a charity program that features stars removing their clothes in the hopes of getting people to get potentially life-saving cancer screenings.

Are Charli D’Amelio and Lil Huddy back together?

How many kids does Christine McGuinness have?

Christine and Paddy have three children: twin Leo and Penelope, who were born in 2013, and Felicity, who was born in 2016. Christine proudly displayed her three-stone weight loss after giving birth to Felicity on social media. She also recorded both pregnancies on Instagram, as well as her effort to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout the pregnancy.

On April 10, she wrote on Instagram: “I can’t exercise for at least six weeks after my C-section, but I’m not in a hurry.” On the twins’ fourth birthday, Christine revealed that they were on the autistic spectrum and had difficulties with social interaction and communication.

A mother’s love is forever. A poem by the devoted mom delighted them and she reassured them that they were “tremendously unique and wonderfully fantastic.” She and Paddy spoke more openly about it later, with Paddy adding, “We’d gone to see a doctor for our children and at the end she said rather nonchalantly, ‘I’m absolutely positive both of them have autism.’”

“I couldn’t forgive her,” said Christine. “How could she call my kids normal after seeing them for such a brief amount of time? It was the first I’d ever considered them having autism – even if, looking back, it was obvious.”

In November, Christine announced that she had been classified as “high up” on the autism spectrum after her previous diagnosis. In 2021, a documentary entitled Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family And Autism chronicles the family’s exploration into the condition in greater depth.

When did Christine and Paddy get married?

Paddy and Christine married in 2011 at Thornton Manor in Wirral after three years together. Paddy opened up about the challenges of raising children with autism during an emotional television chat, stating that it was “a miracle” the pair were still together. During a tearful television interview, he shed tears as he shared how they “cannot do typical things as a couple.”

During an interview on John Bishop: In Conversation With…, Paddy stated, “It’s extremely hard; any parent with children that have special needs is quite difficult.

“It” may be a miracle how we’ve stayed together, me and Christine, because you can’t really do the typical things that a couple does on a daily basis. I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve been out on the town as a couple since you can’t just have someone to watch your kids. You can’t just say, “I’ll drop them off at my relatives so they can look after them,” because it isn’t that simple.
