Scott Peterson Case Explored
Scott reported his pregnant wife missing Christmas Eve 2002, saying he was fishing alone. He distributed missing person posters and attended candlelight vigils in the weeks that followed.
The deaths of Laci Peterson and her unborn foetus were recovered on the San Francisco Bay shore in April 2003, prompting a double-homicide investigation into Scott.
Following his 2004 conviction for murdering his wife and newborn baby, he was sentenced to death. He was sentenced to life in prison after his death punishment was overturned. A judge refused his retrial request in 2022.
