The celebration of her daughter’s special day brings Kimora Lee Simmons an overwhelming sense of joy.
The model mother, who is 48 years old, celebrated her daughter Ming Lee’s 24th birthday on Sunday. She began the celebration by sharing a photo strip consisting of photographs taken in a photo booth of the mother and daughter when Ming was younger. A striking resemblance can be seen between the mother and daughter in the other photographs, which were taken in more recent times.
Simmons is the mother of Wolfe, 11, Gary, 14, Kenzo, 14, and Aoki, 21, in addition to Ming, who is eight years old.
Earlier this month, Aoki, who she shares with her ex-boyfriend Russell Simmons, posted a picture of herself wearing a string bikini while posing on the side of the yacht. Ming is also a member of the Simmons family.
After graduating from Harvard University in May with a degree in classics and government, Aoki has decided to pursue a career in modeling alongside her sister Ming. This decision is similar to the one that her mother made.
Kimora took all five of her children to Japan over the course of the month of August. She told People that she had made it abundantly clear to her children from the very beginning that they were going to Japan to experience their culture.
“It was rewarding to expose all of my kids to Japan,” the entrepreneur said in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE after the event took place.
