I’m So In Love With You Dragon Ball Dance trend began gaining attention on TikTok in September 2026 and spread further during October as creators shared new animations, edits, and real-life dance videos.
One of the main reasons the meme stands out is its unusual combination of powerful anime characters and a song about complicated feelings. Characters such as Jiren and Goku are usually associated with intense battles and serious moments. Seeing them dance to a romantic song creates a funny contrast that makes the videos entertaining.
What Is the I’m So In Love With You Dragon Ball Dance Meme?
The meme features animated characters from Dragon Ball dancing to the song “it’s like i’m not even here” by Mthu. The song includes the line “I’m so in love with you,” which gives the trend its popular name.
Many videos use animated versions of characters such as Jiren and Goku. Instead of showing them fighting or training, creators focus on their dance movements and match them with the song. Other users have taken the idea further by recording themselves performing similar dances or placing the animation in unusual settings.
The humor comes from the difference between the characters’ usual personalities and the mood of the music. Dragon Ball is known for dramatic battles, powerful transformations, and high-stakes confrontations. A character like Jiren dancing to a song about romantic trouble is unexpected, which is exactly what makes the format work.
Origin of the Dragon Ball Dance Meme
The trend grew out of Dragon Ball dance animations created by TikTok user @dblgiuzman. The creator was already posting videos featuring animated Dragon Ball characters dancing before the romantic song became closely linked to the trend.
On September 1, 2026, @dblgiuzman posted an animation of Jiren dancing with Goku. The video reportedly received more than 1.2 million views within a month. On September 2, the account shared another animation featuring Jiren dancing, which also attracted hundreds of thousands of views.
The trend took a more recognizable form later in September, when creators began pairing these kinds of animations with Mthu’s song “it’s like i’m not even here.” One early example identified was posted by TikTok user @skobodo_tolot on September 17, 2026. It reportedly gained more than 719,000 views within a month.
These videos helped bring together two elements that worked well as a meme: familiar Dragon Ball characters and music that gave their movements a romantic, almost melodramatic feeling.

Which Song Is Used in the Meme?
The song used in the trend is “it’s like i’m not even here” by Mthu. The lyrics describe someone who is deeply in love with another person but faces a painful romantic situation.
The repeated line about being in love gives the videos their emotional tone. However, the song’s meaning becomes part of the joke when it is paired with characters better known for fighting powerful enemies than expressing romantic feelings.
This contrast allows creators to use the same audio in different ways. Some focus on the dance itself, while others use the song to create humorous edits involving characters, relationships, or everyday situations.
How the Meme Spread on TikTok
During October 2026, the trend expanded beyond the original animated edits. Creators began recreating Jiren’s dance in real life, using the character in unexpected places, and finding new ways to match the animation with the song.
Several videos helped the meme reach a wider audience. On October 20, TikTok user @adamlostagain posted a video of himself dancing like Jiren.
On October 21, user @iloveuncrider shared a video involving the meme on public transportation, reportedly gaining more than 2.1 million views in five days. On October 24, user @notmemetime posted an edit showing Jiren performing the dance on a calculator screen. That video reportedly received more than 2.1 million views in two days.
These examples show how a simple animation can become a flexible meme format. People do not need to recreate the original video exactly. They can use the same character, song, or dance in a new situation and give the trend their own twist.

Why Is the Dragon Ball Dance Meme Funny?
The joke depends on surprise. Dragon Ball characters are often shown fighting, powering up, or delivering serious speeches. A dance video set to a song about love places them in a completely different mood.
Jiren is a particularly effective choice because he is usually portrayed as a stern and disciplined fighter. Watching him dance casually feels out of character, making the animation funny even before viewers pay attention to the lyrics.
The song also adds another layer to the humor. Its emotional message can make the dancing seem strangely dramatic, as if the characters are dealing with romantic problems instead of preparing for another battle.
Another reason for the trend’s spread is that it is easy to remix. Creators can animate different characters, copy the dance in real life, or place the clip into an unexpected scene. This gives the meme room to grow without changing its central idea.
