Christopher David Noth, an American actor, was born on November 13, 1954. He is best known for his roles as NYPD Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1990–95), Big on Sex and the City (1998–2004), and Peter Florrick on The Good Wife (2009–16) on television.
He has been featured in films, including The 60s (2008), The Kids Are All Right (2010) and I’m Reed Fish (2012). He also appeared on Law & Order: Criminal Intent as Mike Logan from 2005 to 2008. In the films Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2008), he reprised his role of Big, for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series in 1999. In 2010, he was nominated for an Emmy Award for The Good Wife.
Noth will be seen in the CBS relaunch of The Equalizer in 2021, as well as in the resurrection of Sex and the City, And Just Like That…
