Kim Yunjin Korean Actress: Famous For Casting In ‘XO, Kitty’

Kim Yunjin is a South Korean actress. She is best known for her role as Sun-Hwa Kwon in the American television series Lost. Kim Yunjin was born on November 7, 1973, in Seoul, South Korea. She studied theater at the Korea National University of Arts.

Her first film role was in The Contact (1997). She also appeared in several popular Korean dramas, such as Wedding Dress (2002) and My Beautiful Sam-Soon (2005).

Kim Yunjin made her Hollywood debut with the film Seven Days (2007). In 2010, she starred in the American television series The Walking Dead.

Kim Yunjin has won several awards for her acting roles, including the Baeksang Arts Award for Best Actress in a Television Drama (2005) and the SBS Drama Award for Top Excellence in Acting (2009). Kim Yunjin Career Explored

Kim Yunjin began her acting career in the Korean television drama series Wedding Dress. She followed this up with roles in the dramas SOS, First Love, and How to Meet a Perfect Neighbor. Kim’s first film role was in the 1999 thriller Wishing Stairs, where she played one of two best friends who will do anything to win a prestigious ballet competition.

Her breakout role came in 2003, when she co-starred alongside Choi Ji-woo and Yoon So-yi in the hit horror film The Tale of Two Sisters. Her performance won her Best New Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.

Kim then starred in another successful horror film, A Tale of Two Sisters (2003), which was based on the same Korean folktale as The Tale of Two Sisters. Kim’s final film role in 2003 was in the erotic thriller Into the Mirror, where she played a security guard who becomes obsessed with her own reflection.

In 2004, Kim starred in the hit medical drama Medical Brothers. She then took on the lead role in the melodrama Someone Special, opposite Jang Hyuk. After appearing in a series of successful dramas and films, Kim took a break from acting in 2006 to focus on her studies. She returned to the screen in 2007 with a supporting role in the family drama My Father and I. Maxim named Kim number 98 on its annual Hot 100 List, in 2006. She was featured on the cover of Stuff.

She acted as Principal Jina Lim in revolutionary English-Korean Netflix TV Series, XO, Kitty, in 2023 which is spin-off of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before follows the journey of Lara Jean’s younger sister, Kitty.
