The popular Netflix series will be taken on a trip to South Korea in The Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area, which is set to debut on Netflix on June 24. A fresh trailer has just been published, revealing the forthcoming show in all of its splendor, with these well-known yet different characters getting ready to execute a huge robbery as part of North and South Korea’s reunification effort.
The new trailer explores the conflict that formed the Korean Peninsula’s unification, which also leads to the creation of a new single currency for the economic union. Despite people’s belief that merging the two countries would be an improvement, in reality, ordinary individuals continued to suffer economically while rich individuals got richer. The gang of robbers comes up with a plan to pull off one big-money robbery, donning the familiar crimson uniforms that fans of the original series will be acquainted with.
Following Netflix’s Spanish series Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel, which aired on the service from 2017 to 2021, this new version of the show will feature familiar characters including the Professor, played by Yoo Ji-tae (Oldboy), and Jeon Jong-seo playing Tokyo.
