According to The Hollywood Reporter, Matt Long is in discussions to reprise his role as Zeke Landon in Manifest season 4. In season 2, Long’s character Zeke Landon was introduced as a hiker who gets trapped in a snowstorm and is presumed dead for a year. After spending a year believing he was dead, Landon returns to life in the same manner as Flight 828’s passengers. After saving Stone’s life, Long’s character becomes the first person to overcome his death date, which depicts him assisting Cal Stone (the pilot) save the plane from crashing.
The series was subsequently cancelled after the final season, despite having been renewed for a second and third season by NBC. The third season of Manifest was intended to be a six-season run, however it ended on a cliffhanger, which didn’t go down well with fans. Manifest was added to Netflix in June 2021 and quickly became the most popular show on the platform, prompting Netflix to renew it for a fourth season.The fourth season of Manifest has not yet been confirmed, although it is in production. However, the following portion will have 20 episodes and will feature many of the characters returning, which may include Long’s character.
Deadline reports that Long is in talks with Manifest season 4 about returning as a series regular. Long was previously attached to NBC’s drama pilot Getaway; however, the network has opted not proceed with that show. Since Long is now available to do other series, he could very much revisit some of his older shows, including Manifest. Although fans should note that it is currently unclear if a deal has been reached.

Last month, during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards while still attached to Getaway, Long said he was considering coming back for at least “some of it” in Manifest season 4. The creators and he were only “trying to work out the top.” He would later comment that he was devastated when NBC canceled the series, adding That when Netflix acquired the program, it was “much more than [they] could have ever imagined.” Whatever happens with Long’s involvement in Manifest season 4, he’s just looking forward to getting started again and being a part of the narrative.
