In 2003, Belanger joined Cirque du Soleil for their Dralion show. He was part of the cast for six years, performing over 1,000 shows in front of more than four million people. During his time with Cirque du Soleil, Belanger also created and designed the costumes for the show’s acrobats.
In 2009, Belanger founded Design Kontrol, a sports-wear brand specializing in clothing and equipment for circus athletes. The company has supplied gear to performers with Cirque du Soleil, the 7 Fingers, and many other circus companies around the world. In addition to running Design Kontrol, Belanger also offers private coaching and workshops for aspiring acrobats and dancers.
Belanger’s passion for movement has led him to a successful career as an acrobat, dancer, and costume designer. His work with various circus companies has given him a unique perspective on the industry, which he shares with students through his coaching and design work.
