Sukesh Chandrasekhar Arrest
In 2017, Chandrashekhar was apprehended by the Delhi Police from a five-star hotel in south Delhi. He had pretended to be the middleman of All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) deputy general secretary TTV Dhinakaran with intentions of bribe Election Commission officials into swaying their judgement in favour of Sasikala’s faction of AIADMK for obtaining the two-leaf symbol.
He was on bail until last week, when the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police arrested him in connection with Aditi Singh’s fraud at Fortis Healthcare. After he was seen at a judge’s home, the Delhi Police detained Chandrashekhar for eight days. Chandrashekhar was claimed to have asked for a sum of Rs. 50 crore for influencing the Election Commission officials.
