Atlas Ramachandran was an Indian jeweller, film producer and actor who had produced and distributed films under the banner “Chandrakanth Films”. Vaisali (1988) and Sukrutham (1994) are the major films that he has produced. He has also acted in few movies notabily in Subhadram (2007) in a lead role. After acquiring his bachelor’s degree in commerce from St.Thomas College, Thrissur affiliate to Kerala University, Ramachandran left to New Delhi for work.

Atlas Ramachandran Death Cause
Atlas Ramachandran, died in a hospital in Dubai on 02 October night following cardiac arrest. He was 80.
“Ramachandran, who started as a bank employee and later became a businessman, kept a close connection with Pravasi Malayalees. He was an active presence in the cultural and public sectors in Dubai. He was never reluctant to support the poor. His demise comes at a time when he was planning to return to his birthplace,” the chief minister said.

Ramachandran started his career in the banking industry, in Delhi. He moved to Kuwait City to work for the Commercial Bank of Kuwait, in 1974. Kuwait was looted during the Gulf War and Ramachandran experienced a total loss. Ramachandran himself serving as the brand ambassador and lending his face and voice for the advertisements.
Ramachandran was arrested by the Dubai Police in August 2015, following a complaint from several banks that loaned him large sums for his failure to repay the money. The Dubai Court sentenced him to two months in jail shortly thereafter. After three years behind bars, he was released in June 2018. His net worth was estimated to be Rs 10 Crore+.
