After waiting months, Netflix has decided to cancel Grand Army after only one season. Given the lack of buzz or attention the program received when it was released, as well as the legal issues surrounding series showrunner Katie Cappiello, this doesn’t come as a big surprise.

Grand Army season two Netflix renewal status

There were a lot of things to take away from the first season of Grand Army, and the conclusion left many unresolved issues about what to anticipate in season two.
After being raped by her former best friends, Luke and George, Joe has yet to see justice. To flee from the trauma, Tim decides to transfer schools. If Tim testifies as a witness, Luke and George may finally face the consequences of their reprehensible behavior.
Jayson, the promising saxophonist, squandered his chance to perform a solo at Lincoln Center due to a practical joke. The seat was given to Jayson instead of Owen, who instead used it as an opportunity to show support for him by taping his mouth and raising his fist into the black power salute. We may expect some potentially serious repercussions from Jayson’s actions, as well as the protest’s momentum pushing a large number of pupils at the school to come out in support of Owen.
Of all the students, Leila is easily the most confusing. Revealed to be the one faking a bomb threat, potentially cheating on Omar with the rapist of Joey, George, and despite standing up for herself against her bullies, came off as racist. The consequences of her behavior may force Dominique to miss out on her summer internship at Sisters Thrive. At the absolute least, she won’t have to worry about marrying someone she doesn’t know to solve her family’s financial problems; however, those issues haven’t vanished, and her mother might reconsider in season two.
