Poot Lovato Meme Explained: Demi Lovato’s Nickname

American singer and actress Demi Lovato has been nicknamed Poot Lovato, due to a photo of the celebrity uploaded to Tumblr in October 2015. This nickname was given to him because of the picture. There wasn’t much optimism in the shot.

Following its appearance on the internet, the image has given rise to a number of photoshopped parodies as well as a myth that revolves on the notion that Demi Lovato has a twin alter ego that is purely hypothetical.

An unidentified person using a cell phone took a picture of Demi Lovato when she was walking the red carpet before to her performance at the 2014 Royal Variety Performance, which took place at the Palladium Theater on November 13, 2014.

The photograph was altered at some point in time, most likely using the skew and liquify tools that are available in Photoshop. As of the third of November in 2015, neither the original photographer nor the original editor has been positively identified.

How The Meme Spread?

The post quickly gained traction, with thousands of likes and reblogs within the first few hours. Fans of Demi Lovato praised the artist for their attention to detail and unique interpretation of the singer. Many even requested that VersaceSlut create more portraits in the same style, sparking a trend among other artists on social media platforms.

The sketch ultimately caught the attention of Demi Lovato herself, who shared it on her own Instagram account, giving credit to the talented artist and expressing her gratitude for the beautiful artwork.

The photograph was uploaded to Tumblr by Cstcrpt on October 11th, 2015, and accompanied with a commentary that read, “Demi’s twin sister.”

For the entirety of her existence, she was confined to a basement. This photograph was shot on the very first occasion that she ventured outside. She goes by the moniker Poot. A total of more than 87,000 comments were left on the post before the individual canceled their Tumblr account.

Over the course of the subsequent days, the image continued to travel rapidly over Tumblr, with some users combining the shot into altered artworks and contributing to the narrative in various ways.

On October 12th, the Twitter user @OfficialPoot started tweeting in the persona of Lovato’s alter ego. In the first week of the user’s account, the user has attracted more than 3,700 followers. On October 16th, a user identified as KayleeMarieTodd on Wattpad started writing a fanfiction titled “The Secret History of Poot Lovato,” in which she began developing the background of Poot.

Over forty-five thousand people have read the tale, and eight hundred twenty people have voted on it. It incorporates several characteristics of the Demi Lovato fanbase, such as the slogan “Delete It, Fat!”

There were other individuals who attempted to build a Wikipedia page for Poot Lovato; however, the page was discovered to be a fraud and was removed.
