Greg Daniels, head honcho on The Office US and Space Force, delivered a brand-new comedy last year that many wrongly dismissed as a rip-off of The Good Place.
Far from it, the show proved itself to be its own beast, which is unsurprising considering Daniels hasn’t watched Michael Schur’s fantasy comedy.

What is the Release Date of Upload season 2?
The second season was confirmed by Daniels on May 8, 2020: “I am thrilled to continue a great relationship with Amazon Studios and this wonderful cast and find out what happens next to Nora and Nathan and Ingrid and their 2033 world.”
Amazon Studios’ head Jennifer Salke said season two would also be a “smart, cinematic comedy crackling with intrigue”, adding: “We know our global fans want to see the next chapter with Nathan and Nora, so we are greenlighting season two and are excited that Greg’s passion project has found such a devoted audience.”
There’s no premiere date on the table at the moment but the cameras started rolling back in January, so it’ll be here sooner rather than later.

We don’t know exactly what the second chapter will entail, but we’ll likely pick up with Nora and Byron in the Poconos, Nathan frozen at 2G status, and Ingrid recently uploading to be with him.
How did Ingrid upload to Lakeview (was it suicide)? How will the love triangle between Nathan, Nora, and Ingrid (or a square, if we include Byron) be resolved? What will the future hold for Nathan and Jamie’s Beyond program? Plus, who exactly murdered Nathan?

Both Nathan and Nora are reprising their roles, which is a good job because there’s no show without them.
There’s also Ingrid and her dodgy father Oliver (Barclay Hope), Aleesha and Luke, plus Josh Banday as Ivan, who has been upped to series regular.
Other faces that could pop up are: Jordan Johnson-Hinds as Jamie, Chris Williams as Nora’s father Dave, Andrea Rosen as Nora’s boss Lucy, Jessica Tuck as Nathan’s mother Viv, William B Davis as Lake View resident David Choak, Chloe Coleman as Nathan’s niece Nevaeh, and Rhys Slack as Dylan, a child who lives in Lake View.
