After another successful year on Netflix, we’ll be looking at whether there will be a third season of ‘Emily in Paris’ and what to expect.
Season 2 of Emily in Paris is now streaming on Netflix, and it has already proven to be a major success. However, those who have seen the second season and are interested in what happens next are still waiting for Netflix to decide on the series’ future. For the time being, we’ll keep an eye on everything we can anticipate from season 3, as well as whether or not Netflix will renew the series.
Darren Star’s Netflix Original romantic comedy series, Emily in Paris, is a Darren Star-created show. Sex and the City creator Darren Star is also the creator of And Just Like That, which was followed by a sequel series. MTV Entertainment Studios and Jax Media produce the program, which was created along with Darren Star Productions.
The series is set in Paris and follows American Mid-West woman Emily, a social media strategist, as she gets her dream job at Savoir and moves to the City of Light to pursue her career. What she discovers, however, is a cultural conflict as she tries to balance work, love, and friendships while adapting to her new lifestyle.
What is the Netflix renewal status of Emily in Paris season 3?
Netflix’s cancellation of the second season of Emily in Paris has not yet been reversed, despite the fact that it is still available to stream. The return of the program has had a very rapid effect on Netflix’s top ten lists, instantly displacing the recently released second season of The Witcher and capturing the number one TV position worldwide.*
However, if it wasn’t for the imminent release of Cobra Kai season 4, we would expect Emily in Paris to stay at the top of the list for a while longer. At the absolute least, we anticipate that the show will spend a significant amount of time in Netflix’s TV top ten.
Taking everything into account, we anticipate that Netflix will renew Emily in Paris for season 3. We expect to hear news on the series’ continuation shortly.
What to expect from Emily in Paris season 3?
In the next season, she will have to make many crucial decisions, particularly in terms of her career and love life. Following Emily’s boss Madeline’s arrival from the United States, they had an altercation with Sylvie, who subsequently departed Savoir to start her own marketing business. In the middle of their dispute, Sylvie offered Emily a job at the firm; as a result, she has to choose between staying in Paris or pursuing her advancement in Chicago. Given the title of the series, we anticipate that Emily will stay in Paris.
Lessons in love and friendship were also learned by poor little Ester, who was torn between dashing British banker Alfie and gorgeous Gabriel. Despite wanting to commit to a long-distance relationship with Ester, Alfie still harbors feelings for Gabriel, and was about to express those sentiments to him before it was revealed he has returned together with his ex Camille.
Camille and Gabriel’s reunion is a huge betrayal of trust, as she had previously agreed with Emily that they would each cease their efforts to win Gabriel for the sake of their friendship. But will Camille’s treachery make it easier for Emily to pursue Gabriel, and will the pair be able to keep their hands off one another?

- Ashley Park – Mindy Chen
- Lucas Bravo – Gabriel
- Samuel Arnold – Julien

When could we expect to see Emily in Paris season 3 on Netflix?
We can expect the third season to be on Netflix before the end of 2022 if there are no delays with production. The second season was shot in early May and completed by the end of July. If the series continues to release on a yearly basis, we may see it debut in late 2022 or early 2023.
However, because no renewal has been confirmed, and manufacturing dates have not been determined, any discussion regarding release dates is simply guesswork.
