According to the GoFundMe page Jason had several surgeries after being bitten by a brown recluse spider as he wrapped up Rust’s production set.
Jason’s family stated in the appeal that Jason experienced severe symptoms, including necrosis and sepsis within days. He was hospitalized every day and has had multiple surgeries as doctors tried to control the infection and save his arm.
As the campaign organizers asked for prayers, the fundraising page stated that Jason faces a long road to recovery if Abq Lovelace’s medical team is able save his arm.
