Meet Megan Thee Stallion’s Mother
Megan Jovon Ruth Pete was born in San Antonio, Texas, on February 15, 1995, and her mother moved to Houston the next day. Thomas rapped under the name “Holly-Wood” and would bring her daughter with her to recording sessions instead of sending her to daycare. Pete grew up in the South Park area of Houston before moving with her mother to Pearland at the age of 14, where she lived until she turned 18.

At the age of 14, Pete began creating rhymes. When she was 18 and showed her rapping abilities to Holly, the latter instructed her to wait until she was 21 before pursuing rapping as a profession. Her lyrics were deemed sexually suggestive by her mother at such a young age. During high school, Pete attended Pearland High School and graduated in 2013. Her father passed away when she was in high school for the first time.
Megan Thee Stallion Mother Is Very Supportive
Megan Thee Stallion’s mother, Holly Thomas, is very supportive of her daughter’s career. “She’s always been my biggest fan,” Megan said in an interview with Elle magazine. “She’s the one who was like, ‘You need to go out there and get this music career going.'”
Thomas has also been supportive of Megan’s decision to be open about her sexuality. “She was just like, ‘As long as you’re happy, I’m happy,'” Megan said. “That was really important to me, to have that support from my mom.”
Megan is now signed to 300 Entertainment and is working on her debut album. She recently released her first EP, Make It Hot, which features the single “Big Ole Freak.”
