While Lail was establishing her marriage, she says that it was an intuitive experience to plan the wedding during a period of stress. They didn’t have a clear vision for their special day, so she looked on Pinterest for inspiration, but everything came together when they booked the venue.
We didn’t have a strong vision, and it’s easy to become overwhelmed by possibility, so we just waited and listened for what felt good. The wedding revealed itself to us over time as more and more creatives became involved.”
Lail said that all of the wedding’s arrangements, from choosing the date to selecting the cake, were made based on Hasbrouck House’s suggestions and availability. The groom donned a dark navy suit from Freemans Sporting Club while the bride wore a bespoke Andrea Hawkes gown constructed of Marrocaine silk.
The bride and groom exchanged love letters during their first look before the ceremony. She suggested that other couples do the same, describing it as a wonderful method to come together before being carried away by the passion.
Lail and Neiku exchanged traditional and Baha’i vows in front of a floral arch, which “brought so much happiness to [her] ceremony,” as well as Dark and Diamond, the florist. The wedding playlist that Manshadi composed that she’s never stopped singing since was another part of their dream day.
