What Does Remembrance Day Mean in Outlander: Blood of My Blood?
The title “Remembrance Day” connects directly to Henry’s story in the premiere. After being transported to the 20th century, Henry is struggling with memories of his time in the First World War as well as his life with Julia and their family.
The episode uses Henry’s memories to show how easily his past is being mixed together. His doctors believe his strange stories about the 18th century are connected to the trauma he experienced during the war.
At the same time, Henry is terrified that the memories of Julia and his family may disappear completely. That makes the title especially fitting because remembering becomes one of the most important battles Henry faces in the episode.
Henry Travels Through the Stones Without Julia
The biggest mystery from the Season 1 finale is finally answered at the beginning of Season 2.
Henry did travel through the stones at Craigh na Dun, but Julia and their baby William did not go with him.

Julia knows that ordinary people are unlikely to understand what happened at Craigh na Dun. That is why her attention turns toward Maisri, the seer connected to Lord Lovat’s household.
Julia hopes Maisri may understand the stones and the strange events surrounding them. She also needs to know whether Henry can somehow return to her.
Julia therefore begins working around the people controlling her situation instead of simply waiting for Henry to come back.
Her story in the premiere is less about finding a quick solution and more about finding someone who understands the supernatural rules that have separated her from Henry.
Brian and Ellen Are Separated Again
Henry and Julia are not the only couple facing separation.
Brian Fraser and Ellen MacKenzie finally have the chance to imagine a life together, but Scotland is moving toward another major conflict.
The burning crosses signal that the clans are being called to fight as the Jacobite Rising of 1715 approaches.
Brian understands that he cannot simply ignore the responsibilities surrounding his family. Ellen also realizes that staying together could put both of them in greater danger.
