“We are thrilled to share the news of the birth of our son, Win Harrison Wilson,” the new parents said in a statement to PEOPLE exclusively. “It has been a blessing to watch him be born into this world.”

Ciara added: “I’m so grateful to my husband for all his love, care and support during pregnancy. Going through it with you has made it even more special!”

Russell also expressed his joy at becoming a father, telling PEOPLE, “Ciara has been incredible through this whole journey. Watching our baby be born was unbelievable.”

“I’m absolutely in love with him,” he added. “Can’t wait to continue building beautiful memories as a family.”

The couple’s newborn son is named after Ciara’s grandfather, who died in June 2020. Win is also a middle name in Russell’s family.

“Winston is my grandfather’s name on my dad’s side. I’m excited to carry on the family name,” Russell said.

Ciara and Russell announced they were expecting their second child together in January 2020 with a sweet video of them telling their daughter, Sienna Princess, that she was going to be a big sister.
