Michael Strahan is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end and spent his entire 15-year career with the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He is currently a co-host on ABC’s Good Morning America. He also appears as a host/coach on Fox Sports 1’s NFL competition series The Michael Strahan Show.
Strahan played college football at Texas Southern University and was drafted in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. He quickly became a starter for them, making seven sacks in his rookie season. In 1997, he recorded 14 sacks and was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Year by The Sporting News.
